Architectural Studio, Assignment I

After a month's break, I returned to Taylor's University, eager to learn on the new subjects. One subject in particular caught my attention, and that subject was Studio. As told by 100% of the seniors I talked to, the always say "DO NOT TAKE STUDIO LIGHTLY", so I guessed it's an important subject. I'm cool with that. Off to our first assignment!

Mask-making along with the process sketch.

We were given a week to finish the mask (it's about knowing ourselves, as we need to understand our clients later on), and honestly, I went through several designs to get to my mask, and it wasn't easy. The assignment was to create a mask or a sculpture based on our personalities and I've chosen; rough, unpredictable, and mysterious for my personalities (I asked around, so it's true). The mask was made with boards and sandpaper; the boards acts as structure and sandpaper to portray my rough personality. This was my first assignment for studio and I quite liked it, as it felt quite different than foundation (obviously). I'd look forward for future assignments!

It's a mask and a board on a chair.

Except, well, I heard the second assignment will be veeeerrrrrrrryyyyy tough. Yay?
