Architectural Studio, Assignment II

Our second assignment was our toughest assignment, in my opinion. For the second assignment, the Life Capsule, we had to choose a client, create a story, and construct a model. The assignment was as same as all of our assignment, but the scale of the model made it hard, as we had to make a 1:1 scale model. As it was a big assignment, we were assigned into a group; Arvind, Andrew, Adam, Alan, Boay, and me.

Pictured above was our concept model; the Protean*. The Protean is a capsule that can be positioned into a position that suits our client, a photographer. The Protean also has a 360° view, allowing our photographer to take pictures in every angle without obstruction. The detachable parts of the Protean can be arranged into a table and a chair.

PRESENTATION BOARDS

FINAL MODEL (1:1)

On the presentation day, everything went better than I expected. Our model got damaged, and deep inside, I don't think it'll stand, but it did. The presentation went well and our weeks' work paid off. We all went home happy and proceed to redeem our sleepless nights, well, by sleeping.

It was a good sleep.
