For our final assignment, and probably the most interesting assignment for me; we had to create a hideout based on real-life (or probably dead by now) clients like Alexander McQueen, Lady Gaga, Picasso, etc. This assignment taught me to explore and understand the client, creating the perfect hideout for him/her. The client I've chosen was Salvador Dali, a painter known for his surrealistic method of painting.
He was a weird guy, basically.
It took me several concepts to came out with a suitable design for Dali and here's my favourite one:
My concept for Dali's hideout was to make it as it was melting, and it was inspired by his method of painting; surrealism, along with three of Dali's paintings, The Persistence of Memory, Millet Architectonic, and My Mother Paintings.
The Persistence of Memory.
Millet Architectonic.
My Mother Paintings.
Drawing the orthographic(s) was VERY challenging, as 99.5% of the hideout was organic, but I still managed to do it. Here are the orthographic drawings of Dali's hideout:-

3 boards and 4 models, all according to progress.
THE MODEL
The model was made from hard plastic sheets that were melted to give out the form, and the floorings were made from plaster, as plaster is a light material and it was intentionally not sanded out, making it look inconsistent and rough, thus contrasting the exterior which was smooth.
Overall, this assignment taught me on how to understand your client, making it possible to design the building perfect for him/her. This assignment was like a stepping stone for me; as I gradually learn new things from my lecturer & different people, gained new insights, thus further preparing me on what to come.
