KLANG'S SITE ANALYSIS

For our first assignment for Studio V, we were assigned to our tutor and grouped accordingly to prepare a site analysis for a part of Klang. Focusing on the duality of Klang, the group managed to make several panels in analysing the concept, as well as giving suggestions on how to improve certain aspects, and carved out their site model for a more thorough analysis.

PERPUSTAKAAN MODEN KLANG

For the second project, we had to design a community library to replace an existing building within one of the busiest spots on site. Sound, smell, walkability, accessibility, all had to be considered in designing the community library. The project gave me an insight on how to utilise an existing space efficiently while applying the existing context of Klang to aid the design of the library. Perpustakaan Moden Klang's concept was to utilise positive distractions in helping people to study better.

As a conclusion, this project helped me to understand of designing a space for a community; targeting demographics, analysing on distractions that occurred within the site, and the little details that made the community library workable.
